Conservation Club of Kenosha County-Bristol Shooting Ranges

Conservation Club of Kenosha County operates Bristol Shooting Ranges as a comprehensive facility for multiple shooting sports. The ranges have been in operation since 1933 and acquired their current grounds around 1955. Today they operate as a non-stock, non-profit organization focused on conservation, wildlife management, and shooting sports preservation.

The facility includes seven distinct ranges:

• •Rifle-Pistol Range - Open-air with overhead shelter at all positions. Features a heated waiting room and heated indoor shooting area for the 100/200-yard section. Equipped with shooting benches.
• •Shotgun Range - Trap, skeet, and 5-stand fields with a newly installed shot curtain that provides uniform background while shooting clay targets.
• •Action Pistol Range - Competition-focused with a wide range of competitors from beginners to seasoned veterans.
• •High Power Rifle Range - Sanctioned matches throughout the season.
• •Archery Range - Over 50 acres of cleared and wooded land directly across Highway AH from the main clubhouse. Indoor league during winter, outdoor 3D archery during summer.
• •Airgun Range - Field Target Course in wooded area with 25 shooting lanes. Monthly 60-shot matches sanctioned by AAFTA during summer.
• •Cowboy Action Range - Affiliated with Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). Supports the Bristol Plains Pistoleros club.
• •Black Powder & .22 Plinking Range - Wilderness Range includes both primitive black powder shooting and skirmish field.

Bristol Ranges coordinates multiple shooting sports leagues and competitions:

2026 Notable Events: - Action Steel Competitive Shooting Match - April 1, 2026 - RO Dinner - April 25, 2026 (6pm drinks, 7pm dinner) - Board Meetings - Second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm

Becoming a member entitles you to use all shooting ranges at member rates. The club meets monthly on the second Monday at 7:00 pm at the Bristol Ranges Clubhouse—all members encouraged to attend and provide input on club operations.

Ranges operate from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on various schedules depending on the specific range. Shotgun Range winter hours (beginning November 14): Friday 10am–2pm, Saturday 10am–3pm, Sunday 10am–3pm. Standard shotgun hours: Friday 9am–2pm.

All ranges closed on major national holidays. On certain announced and posted days, specific ranges may close for special events. Concealed carry is not permitted on the grounds. No firearms available for rental.
