Kettle Moraine Firearms Training has spent 14 years building trust with shooters across the Milwaukee area. John D. Rowe, an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, runs classes that emphasize safety first and practical, real-world skills—not intimidation.
The state requires a firearms safety course. YouCarrySafely's 4-hour Concealed Carry and Personal Defense class meets all requirements and costs just $50. You walk out with a Certificate of Training, which you then submit to the Wisconsin Department of Justice with a $40 fee. Most permits arrive in 7–14 days and are valid for 5 years. Wisconsin's permit is honored in about 35 other states.

Step 1: Concealed Carry and Personal Defense ($50) Basic gun safety, modern concealed carry concepts, and legal use-of-force laws. Beginner-friendly, state-approved.
Step 2: Handgun Marksmanship Fundamentals ($150) Classroom instruction plus live fire range training. Learn handgun basics, proper grip, trigger control, and shooting range etiquette. Includes gun rental, .22 ammunition, and eye/ear protection. Limited to 10 students per class.
Step 3: Defensive Handgun Tactics Advanced training on safely drawing and deploying a handgun in critical situations.
