Cinnabar Gunworks

Cinnabar Gunworks specializes in restoring and preserving the iconic firearms that built the American West. Owners Mark and Erin Douglas operate from their Wyoming Armory location in Cody after relocating their gunsmithing operation from their remote Southeast Oregon ranch.

They handle the complete range of restoration work:

• •Machining - CNC milling and precision lathe work for parts that no longer exist
• •Metal Finishes - Hot blue, rust blue, nitre blue, and color case hardening
• •Fabrication - Manufacturing obsolete parts to original specifications
• •Welding - TIG, MIG, and gas welding services
• •Stock Work - Stock fitting and finishing

Mark Douglas is an avid Winchester collector and currently serves as 1st Vice President of the Winchester Arms Collectors Association. Erin focuses on vintage Colts, particularly Lightning slide action rifles and 1st generation Single Action Army revolvers.

Their interest goes deeper than business. Erin is a descendant of the Clanton family—the Tombstone outlaws of OK Corral fame. Mark's great grandfather, Glaudius Moore, was a close friend of Billy the Kid and later became a lawman in Silver City, New Mexico.
