Wyoming Gun Company operates a full training facility in Casper with 25-yard and 100-yard bays, classroom space, and a gunsmith shop. They focus on structured firearms instruction and group events.
Their course lineup covers skill levels from absolute beginner through advanced:
- •Basic Pistol (6-8 hours) - Handgun safety, marksmanship fundamentals, storage. Qualifies for Wyoming Concealed Carry Permit. Offered coed or Ladies Only. WGC provides rental firearms, targets, eye/ear protection.
- •Pistol Level I & II - Intermediate progression covering tactical reloads, malfunctions, holster selection, shooting from cover, low-light shooting, multiple threats, and legal self-defense concepts.
- •Pistol Level III - Advanced class focusing on wet reloads, one-handed manipulation, blind-side shooting, and optional standards testing.
- •Defensive Carbine - Requires basic pistol prerequisite. Covers AR platform operation, malfunction clearance, transitions, target identification, and maintenance.
- •Intro to Long Range Precision Rifle - Two-day course teaching equipment setup, zeroing, and dope charts on Day 1; precision shooting out to 1000 yards on Day 2 at the 100-yard bay.
- •Self Defense: Low Light Shooting - Intermediate class covering flashlight techniques, weapon-mounted lights, and malfunction clearing in darkness.
- •Home Defense: Close Range Shooting - CQB-style training including retention shooting, movement from compromised positions, and shooting from the ground.
- •Legal Self-Defense: The Justice System - Three-part evening series covering deadly force laws, talking to police, evidence standards, and state-specific self-defense doctrines.
All classes include 1-hour lunch breaks. Personal training available by appointment.
Wyoming Gun Company accommodates groups from 10 to 50+ people with three rental packages:

All packages include free rental firearms. Groups pay $10 per person on top of facility fees. Ammunition, eye/ear protection, and targets are additional. Outside food and drinks (non-alcoholic) are permitted.
Groups can set up friendly competitions and training sessions managed by WGC staff, or simply reserve lanes for recreational shooting.
