Full description and what we offer

Spring Creek Armory is Bill Fuchs's gunsmithing operation in Ten Sleep, Wyoming (population 260). He specializes in restoring and customizing single action revolvers—primarily Colt SAAs, but also Rugers, Ubertis, and Great Westerns. Bill's been doing this work for two decades and treats every gun like it'll be critiqued by the industry's best.

  • Bill invented the patented Single Action Cylinder Pin Ejector—a tool that uses the gun's own hammer to dislodge stuck cylinder pins. Works on all single action makes. He sells them for $10.50 if you want one for your own work.

"I guarantee my work for as long as you own your Single Action." — Bill Fuchs

He also works on Colt Lightning rifles, Winchester lever guns (1860, 1873, 1876, 1886, 1894), and other firearms when needed.

Full refinishes take 6-8 months because Bill won't rush quality work. He does custom metal work, case color hardening, and hand finishing—it takes time to do right.

Most customers ship their guns in from out of state. Bill handles all the details: he'll guide you on shipping, makes sure your gun is fully insured both ways, and keeps you informed on condition once he disassembles it. If parts need replacement, you get them back and can request credit for used parts.

  • Don't send anything without getting the go-ahead first. Bill won't accept a gun for work without approval—he wants to know what you're expecting.

If you can visit Ten Sleep, stop by in person. Hours are 9 AM–2 PM. There's a saloon next door where Calamity Jane once brought visitors—grab a burger and swap stories.

Bill's been inspired by range war history since childhood. The name references the Spring Creek Raid, a brutal sheep war in Wyoming's Big Horn Basin. He's passionate about iconic western movie guns and the history behind them.
