Full description and what we offer
Area Archery operates from the well-known Woodley Park archery range in Van Nuys, run by a husband-and-wife team certified as USA Archery Level 3 NTS Coaches. All equipment is included with lessons—bows, arrows, armguards, quivers, and gloves. No extra rental fees. You'll shoot plenty of arrows during your first lesson and gain confidence fast. Sessions work for individuals, couples, and groups.

Arrive early and follow the detailed directions on their website. The park entrance points to the building, but the actual range requires driving past the fence, past the cricket field, and up a narrow uphill road.
Beyond recreational lessons, they specialize in archery training for actors and filmmakers. They coach actors on realistic form and technique for film and TV roles, and offer consulting for directors on creating authentic archery scenes.
Kids can start at age 8 with a parent present. Lessons may be shortened to 45-50 minutes for younger children depending on focus. Parent-child packages work well for shared learning.
Dress code: Wear fitted, comfortable clothing without loose sleeves, bulky zippers, or large collars that could catch the bowstring. Just bring water—everything else is provided.
"Whether you're seeking a unique experience, looking to take up a new hobby, or planning a team-building event, archery delivers fun and engagement."
