Santa Lucia Sportsmen's Association (SLSA) is a private, members-only shooting club dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, safety, and outdoor recreational activities in Atascadero, California. As an established sportsmen's organization, SLSA provides comprehensive shooting facilities and educational programs for firearm enthusiasts of all skill levels.

SLSA operates multiple specialized ranges accommodating diverse shooting interests:

• •Shotgun Sports: Trap and skeet shooting, including junior shotgun programs
• •Rifle Shooting: High-power rifle range, black powder rifle shooting, varmint rifle shooting, and Templeton 4H rifle programs
• •Pistol Range: CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) practice and general pistol training
• •Archery: Dedicated archery range for bow hunters and target archers

Beyond basic range access, SLSA offers specialized instruction and certifications:

• •Hunter education courses for new and experienced hunters
• •GALS (Shooting clinics for women)
• •Stop the Bleed trauma training programs
• •Junior shotgun programs for young shooters
• •NRA-certified range safety officer supervision

SLSA operates as a private members-only facility and is not open to the public. The club welcomes qualified individuals to join. Current members may host up to two guests on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for a $15 range fee per guest, with restrictions and liability waivers required. Guest privileges are limited to one visit; subsequent visits require membership.

The association maintains an active volunteer program and encourages members to participate in range improvements and special events. SLSA also supports broader shooting sports advocacy through affiliated organizations.
