Rocky Mountain Tactical Coatings handles the refinishing side of what you get at Phoenix Weaponry. They're not just a coating shop—they're graphic designers at heart who treat every gun like a work of art.
They apply professional firearm coatings using three main systems:
- •DuraCoat SL - Self-lubricating formula with PTFE technology. Reduces friction, resists scratches, makes cleaning easier. Handles standard barrel temperatures.
- •Cerakote - Premium ceramic coating for durability and finish quality
- •KG Gunkote - Industrial-grade option
For guns that see sustained fire (like LMG barrels), they offer high-temperature coatings that handle up to 1,800 degrees. The coating gets harder and more abrasion-resistant at those temperatures.
- •Custom Themed Designs: Star Wars, sports teams, video game characters, flags, zombie themes—they've done all of it. They design and cut vinyl in-house, so they can handle almost anything you conceptualize.
- •Military & Hunting Camo: They replicate military patterns (MultiCam, MARPAT, CADPAT, NWU, BDU, Flecktarn, OCP) and hunting patterns (Woodland, Digital, Tiger, Fractured Earth). Or they'll design custom camo for your specific hunting area or season.
- •Restorations: Tired gun with rust? They handle mechanical repairs, wood refinishing, and apply modern coatings that imitate blueing, blacking, browning, or parkerizing—making old guns look new again.
- •Beyond Firearms: Industrial coatings on metal and wood. Paintball and airsoft guns get the same quality treatment as firearms.
- •Vinyl Graphics (DIY): They sell Avery paint-masking vinyl in-house if you want to do the design work yourself. Removable adhesive, good for up to a year.
