S Picher Custom

Spicher Custom is a gunsmith shop that handles the work most gunsmiths either can't or won't do. Preston Spicher graduated from Pennsylvania Gunsmith School and brings ten years of hands-on experience—plus armorer certifications for Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0, Shield, AR-15 platform, and Brownells alternative finishes.

• •Revolver work is where they shine. Action jobs from carry to competition grade, cylinder throat reaming for accuracy, custom barrel fabrication, forcing cone modification, custom sights on fixed-sight guns, hammer bobbing, Bisley frame fitting—Spicher handles Colt, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, and Dan Wesson revolvers with equal focus.

Beyond revolvers, the shop provides:

• •Machine work: Barrel cutting/refacing, threading, recrowning, chambering, blueprinting, obsolete parts manufacturing, drilling/tapping for scope mounts
• •Finishing: Bluing, Cerakote, chrome plating, nickel plating, polishing
• •Stock work: Repairs, adjustable cheek and buttpads, refinishing, checkering, inletting
• •Custom builds: AR-15s, 1911 full house builds, custom sporter rifles, revolving rifles, shotguns (clay, trap, skeet), polymer pistol stippling and slide cuts

Preston has conducted revolver-smithing lectures at Pennsylvania Gunsmith School and co-hosted AR-15 building and operating classes with C&G Training in Pittsburgh.
