The club was developed by Stephen E. Myers Sr. (pioneer in cable television, owner of Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge in British Columbia) and his son Stephen E. Myers Jr. Founding members include golf legends Jack W. Nicklaus and Nick Price, former NFL star Tucker Frederickson, and John Reynolds. The Membership Committee oversees admissions and member relations.

From I-95: Exit Orange Avenue (CR 68 westbound) at Exit 131B. Proceed 23 miles to NE 48th Avenue (Hilolo Road), turn right (north), go 1/2 mile to club entrance on left.
From Florida's Turnpike: Exit Fort Pierce (SR 70). After toll booth, proceed 2 miles on King's Highway (SR 713). Turn left at Orange Avenue (CR 68) traffic light for 23 miles to NE 48th Avenue. Turn right (north), go 1/2 mile to entrance on left.
