FishHawk Sporting Clays operates a full instruction program with six shotgun coaches and two pistol instructors, all holding relevant certifications from NSCA, NRA, and SCTP.
Shotgun coaches include Chase Coleman (NSCA Level 1), Roger Gascoigne (AMICSI/CPSA Certified), Joe Mandracchia (NSCA Proficient, CSM Certified Chief Instructor for FishHawk Dynasty scholastic program), Ed Welch (NSCA Intermediate/Expert), Dave Carpenter, and Gianna Santo (NSCA Level 1, NRA Level 1). They teach sporting clays, trap, skeet, FITASC, and wingshooting.
Chase Coleman accepts students of all ages and abilities at $50/hour for single students, $25/hour additional per person for shared lessons.
Jack Van Jaarsveld Jr. (retired police instructor, NRA Chief Range Safety Officer) and George Hrubovcak (NRA Law Enforcement Instructor, State of Florida K License #K1800066) lead pistol programs:
Basic Classes: - Concealed Carry License Course (4 hours) — $90 - Defensive Shooting w/ CCW (6 hours) — $150 - Home Defense w/ CCW (6 hours) — $175
Advanced Classes: - Defensive Pistol I & II (6 hours each) — $225 - Countering the Mass Shooter Threat (8 hours) — $225
Specialty Training: - Basic Shotgun or AR Rifle (4 hours) — $125 - NRA Range Safety Officer Certification (9 hours) — $225 - Emergency First Aid Fundamentals (5 hours) — $175 - HR 218 LEOSA Annual Qualifications (monthly, $40+)
FishHawk runs the FishHawk Talons and FishHawk Dynasty youth shooting teams, with SCTP state and national champions. Joe Mandracchia oversees the scholastic clays target program.
No experience, no firearms, no ammunition required for most basic courses. Equipment rental available for advanced classes. Private instruction available at $75/person/hour.
