Blackwater Tactical Range operates as a private firearms training facility open to the public by scheduled appointments—no walk-ins. Located in Milton, Florida, the range specializes in individualized instruction from Captain Ron, who designs training around each shooter's specific goals and experience level.
"Your comfort level is always at its highest. It's that high level of comfort that allows clients to absorb BTR's professional level and intensity of firearms training quickly despite previous lack of experience." — Ron Beermünder, Owner
Unlike cookie-cutter range sessions, training here is tailored to you. Whether you've never touched a gun or you're a competitive shooter, Captain Ron paces instruction to your ability and adjusts exercises based on your performance.
Service animals are welcome on the range or in the climate-controlled office. Ron specifically invites clients with physical or mental health considerations to request accommodations.
$150 | Cash or credit card accepted
$200 (base for 2 people; add 1 hour per additional person) | Guaranteed satisfaction
This is the class for shooters serious about real-world performance:
Option A: Everything Included - $200/person (1 person) or $300 total (2 people = $150 each) - All firearms, ammunition, and safety equipment provided - Can bring your own guns/ammo if preferred - Available firearms: Various 9mm handguns, AR-15, AK-47, 12 & 20 gauge shotguns
Option B: BYOG (Bring Your Own Guns) - $120 first session (1–2 people); $60 for future 2-hour sessions - You bring your firearms and ammunition (300–500 rounds recommended) - No firearms or ammo provided; ammunition not sold
Both options are non-certificate training. Captain Ron builds the session around your goals—whether improving draw speed, accuracy at distance, tactical movement, or specific technique work.
One of BTR's standout features: no charge to try 50+ different firearms during training. This is unique in the area. Captain Ron's philosophy is simple—find the right gun for you, not the one with the highest dealer markup.
