Military Reserve Archery Range

The Military Reserve Archery Range offers Boise archers a no-cost place to practice year-round. Located at 1800 Mountain Cove Rd, it operates on a drop-in basis with no registration or fees required.

Eight shooting lanes with distance markers from 10 to 80 yards: - Two 40-yard lanes - One each at 80, 60, 50, 30, 20, and 10 yards - Dedicated broadhead lane for archers using their own targets

The range stays open sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year.

Keep the range usable by following these guidelines:

• •Field points only on provided targets (broadheads damage them and drive repair costs)
• •Broadhead arrows permitted only in the designated lane with personal targets
• •Shoot only from the shooting line at designated targets
• •Clear the area before shooting; retrieve arrows only when all archers are done
• •Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult
• •No crossbows, firearms, paintball guns, or alcoholic beverages
• •Service animals welcome; pets prohibited
• •Pack in, pack out (no trash service)

Competitive events require advance approval and scheduling through Boise Parks and Recreation.
