Downers Grove Sportsmen's Club (DGSC) has operated since 1950, and for the past 25 years from their current location on 485 acres in Morris, IL. This isn't a casual range—it's built for competitive shotgun sports and serious shooters.
The facility includes: - 8 trap fields (5 are lighted combo trap/skeet, 3 are trap-only) - 5-stand field for five-stand shooting - 14-station sporting clays course (walk or ride with golf carts available) - Air-conditioned clubhouse with kitchen - Outdoor patio and 20x30 pavilion - ADA accessible facilities
DGSC hosts multiple registered shoots throughout the year:

Winter Schedule (Dec 1 - Feb 28): - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Friday nights (games only): 7:00 p.m. start - Closed Monday and Wednesday

Directions: From I-80, take Route 47 south to Route 6. Head west to Saratoga Road, then south (past Morris Country Club) to Old Stage Road, then west to club.
DGSC is a membership club. NRA membership is required by their bylaws.
Shooting Membership: - $175/year + $50 one-time processing fee - Must be 21+ and NRA member - Access to trap, skeet, 5-stand, and sporting clay fields - No voting rights or property interest - Board approval required
Senior Membership: - $200/year + $300 one-time processing fee - Requires 7+ months as Shooting Member + sponsorship from existing Senior Member - Application deadline: March 1st annually - Must complete probationary year (40 service hours, 2 club functions, 2 membership meetings) - Full facility access including hunting, fishing, dog training area - Voting rights on club decisions - Spouse and children under 21 get same privileges - Ongoing: 5 service hours/year required
Shooting member spouses and children under 21 automatically get same privileges. Senior member families do too.
The clubhouse runs a working kitchen with food service resuming seasonally. Recent announcements mention breakfast service available Tuesdays and Saturdays (8:30 a.m. to noon). The club hosts member events including the annual picnic, potluck gatherings, and member appreciation functions.
Memorial trees line the drive commemorating longtime members like Frank DeGrzia, Dean Kerhulas, Mark Matteson, and Chuck Feuillan. Recent additions honor members Larry White and Mike Pietrzak.
DGSC welcomes company outings, tournaments, and community events. Interested groups fill out a Usage Form and contact the club. The property supports everything from business team-building to youth development.
Senior members hold voting power over club operations. Board of Directors (8 members + 4 officers) oversee major functions: Buildings, Entertainment, NRA compliance, Grounds, Maintenance, Youth programs, Hunting, Shotgun Sports, and Legal matters. General membership meetings held regularly; annual elections typically in November.
