Effingham County Sportsman's Club

Effingham County Sportsman's Club was founded in 1953 and sits on 180 acres east of Lake Sara, about two miles west of Effingham, Illinois. The private, not-for-profit club has a membership of over 600 individuals and families and is run by an elected Board of Directors and volunteers. The grounds include Rifle Ranges and a Pistol Range, along with shotgun ranges that allow night shooting, and steel targets in bunkers at 300 and 500 yards.

The club runs Skeet, Trap, Rifle, Archery, and Cowboy Action Shooting, along with Highpower Rifle, Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Silhouette, Indoor Air Rifle, and a 4-H Shoot for youth. It also hosts Concealed Carry Classes, Hunter Safety Courses, Friends of NRA events, and benefit shoots, and is open to non-member visitors at its organized events.
