Michiana Archery opened its doors over four decades ago with one mission: make archery accessible to everyone. Today they're still doing exactly that—running instruction for kids as young as 8, hosting university clubs from Notre Dame and IUSB, supporting Boy Scouts, and serving casual shooters, hunters, and competitive archers.

"Archery is a sport without limitations." That's the philosophy behind their adaptive archery program, where one-on-one attention helps people of all abilities gain confidence and learn the sport.

Archery 101 Course — Their signature program. Six weeks of 90-minute classes for $129.99, taught by USA Archery certified instructors. Each week tackles a different focus: range safety, shooting basics, fundamentals, and finishes with a benchmark to measure progress. Open to ages 8+. No experience required. Skills taught apply to barebow, Olympic, 3D archery, and freestyle compound.

Private Lessons — Call 574-272-5300 to schedule. Their specialty. Certified instructors work with individuals and groups of any age and fitness level.

Youth Programs: - Boy Scouts Archery Clinic - Tuesday night youth league (6-8pm, year-round) - Camp equipment rental and instruction - Scout packs and group bookings

University Programs: - IUSB Archery Club (open to all students, staff, faculty) - Notre Dame/St. Mary's/Holy Cross collegiate archery through USAA

Fully renovated 20-yard range that holds 10-20 shooters. Hosts public shooting, competitions, and private lessons.

They partnered with First String Bow Strings, an Indiana manufacturer, for custom strings in endless color combinations. Their service technicians handle:

String & Cable Work: - Bow string installation - Control/buss/yoke cable installation - Peep sight installation and serve - String silencers, kisser buttons, no-glove installation - Custom string orders - Waxing strings and cables

Compound Bow Service: - Sight and rest installation (drop-away rests too) - Quiver and dampener installation - Limb changes and cam changes - Draw length module adjustments - Paper tuning, chronograph testing - Draw weight checks and tiller adjustments - Center shot work - Complete lube and tune or pro tuning

Crossbow Service: - Complete setup and assembly - String and cable installation - Replacement limbs - Scope mounting and sighting in - Cocking device installation - Warranty work and tune-ups

Arrow Work: - Cut to length - Insert and nock installation - Refletch service - Strip, prep, wrap, dip, and finish
