About Oak Hill Gun Club
Oak Hill Gun Club, Inc. is an established private shooting club located in Blue Grass, Iowa, dedicated to promoting competitive marksmanship and firearm safety across multiple shooting disciplines.
Shooting Activities & Competitions
The club hosts a variety of competitive shooting events and training programs:
- •Bench Rest Competitions - .22 caliber and centerfire bench rest matches
- •Trap Shooting - Traditional trap shooting events
- •Bullseye Pistol - Precision pistol competitions
- •Black Powder Matches - Historical firearms competitions
- •Silhouette Shooting - Metallic silhouette target events
- •Bowling Pin Matches - Action-oriented bowling pin knockdown competitions
- •Vintage Bolt - Matches featuring vintage bolt-action rifles
- •CMP Junior Programs - Competitive marksmanship programs for youth
Membership & Access
Oak Hill Gun Club is a private membership organization. Membership dues are $100 annually, with a reduced rate of $60 for members 65 years and older (effective January 1, 2026). Members are required to provide proof of membership when visiting the range.
Safety & Orientation
The club offers Safety and Orientation training sessions, typically held on the last Wednesday of each month from April through October at 6:00 P.M. Check the club's calendar for specific dates. New members and visitors should complete this training.
