Marion County Sportsmen Club operates as a private membership facility maintained entirely by volunteers. While membership is required for full access, the club opens specific ranges to the public during their spring-through-fall season.
Wednesdays, April through October | 4:45 PM - 8:00 PM (weather permitting)
The public can shoot trap and skeet on these nights. Note: The rifle and pistol range closes when trap fields are in use.
Members have access to:
- •Rifle and Pistol ranges - Available when not in use for trap
- •Trap and Skeet fields - Full access beyond public hours
- •5 Stand shooting - Open on specific dates with provided pullers and scorekeepers
- •Rimfire competitions - 50-yard rimfire shoots open to the public
Membership applications take 7-10 business days to process. Check their website for club rules and FAQs before applying.
The club maintains several amenities for members and families:
- •Stocked fishing pond
- •Dedicated archery and bowhunting area (bring your own targets)
- •Primitive campsites (no water or electricity)
- •Clubhouse available for member rentals
Spring hunter's education classes are offered (required for anyone born after 1971 purchasing an Iowa hunting license). The club also offers scholarships with an annual March 31st deadline.
