Liberty Firearms Academy exists to prepare people for violence when it happens—not if it happens. The core mission: equip civilians and professionals with the mindset, skills, and confidence to survive when seconds matter.

Located in New Vineyard, Maine (Route 234 near Bedspring Pond, off Miller Road), LFA's private facility was designed from the ground up for realistic, dynamic training—not static target practice.

• •Foundational Starting Point: Defensive Handgun is the recommended first class regardless of your training path afterward.

• •Class Format: Mix of classroom instruction and range time. Fast-paced, compressed learning. Bring your own food and drinks.

• •Class Sizes: Limited enrollment to maintain high instructor-to-student ratios. Quality over quantity.

Age Requirements: - 18+ can take classes - Under 18 requires parental supervision (private family classes available)

• •Prerequisites: Listed in each course description. No exceptions.

• •Don't have a gun? Rent one for the class at an additional cost. Many students discover what actually works for them after live-fire training rather than buying something that "felt good" in a gun store.

Ammunition: - NOT included in class tuition - LFA provides ammo at competitive prices (notify them 2 weeks ahead) - Can also source from local gun shops

• •Ammunition Restrictions: No green/black tip, armor-piercing rounds, or SS109/M855 with steel penetrators. No reloads allowed. Violators are removed with no refund and held liable for any damage to targets or injuries.

• •Facilities are closed to the public. Registered students only during their scheduled class. No drop-in visits, no spectators, no sit-ins by spouses or friends.

• •Women's-Only Classes: Women ONLY. This creates a judgment-free, non-intimidating learning environment—testimonials repeatedly mention this as critical to their comfort and confidence.

Cancellation Policy: - Tuition sale is final - No refunds for cancellations or no-shows - $60 per person rescheduling fee - Rescheduling judged on individual basis - Weather training continues as scheduled - LFA covers refunds/reschedules only if they cancel (rare)

Hotels & Cabins Near LFA:

Evergreens offers large 2-story cabins sleeping up to 11 people, plus smaller cabins for 5. Many students come from out of state and use these options.

LFA's founding principle: personal security is a fundamental human right, but ultimately an individual responsibility. Laws don't stop violent acts. Police can't be everywhere. When a life-threatening situation unfolds, there's no pause button and no guarantee of help arrives in time. In that moment, you are your own first responder.

This reality shapes everything they teach. Their environment forces thinking, movement, and adaptation—the opposite of comfortable, static range work.
