They also carry ammunition and hunting gear from top brands to cover your needs during hunting season.
Anglers maintains a constantly rotating selection of used rifles and shotguns. You can bring firearms in for a cash quote or consignment pricing—the buying and selling process is straightforward. Their used gun racks stay well-stocked because they move inventory regularly.
In-house services include: - Scope Mounting: Professional installation - Bore Sighting: Proper alignment for accuracy - Additional gunsmith work is arranged off-premise
Anglers handles firearm transfers through their Federal Firearms License. Here's how it works:
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Notification | You'll be contacted within 48 hours of receiving the transferred firearm |
| Pickup Window | Two weeks to collect your firearm |
| Storage Policy | Held for one year from receipt date if unclaimed |

You need a government-issued photo ID. Anglers sells long guns to Maryland residents and residents of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. A background check is required, and you can usually take your firearm home the same day.
Handgun purchases in Maryland require you to be a Maryland resident with an HQL (Handgun Qualification License) or HQL exemption. The process involves:
1. Create an account on the Maryland State Police website 2. Complete a 77R form (pre-fill this before coming in) 3. Bring your photo ID, HQL, and application details 4. Complete the 4473 federal paperwork 5. Complete the mandatory seven-day waiting period 6. Return to pick up your firearm after Maryland State Police approval
The Maryland State Police charges a $10 background check fee.
