"A family-oriented club" — that's how they describe themselves. Children are welcome at any event with supervision. Once kids turn 18, they can apply for their own gate cards.
Townsend Rod and Gun Club is member-owned and operated—not a commercial business. That means decisions are made by shooters, for shooters. The 300-acre grounds give them room for everything from 3D archery to black powder to fishing, all in one place. The archery pro shop with bow press means you can bring a bow, tune it, and shoot the same day. The trap range has voice-activated throwers for consistent clay presentation. And unlike commercial ranges, the club maintains stocked fishing ponds and miles of trails for other outdoor activities.
