Westford Sportsmen's Club

Westford Sportsmen's Club operates multiple ranges on 80 West Street serving shooters across trap, pistol, rifle, archery, and action bay shooting. Unlike single-focus ranges, WSC maintains separate facilities for each discipline, so you're not compromising on setup or safety for any one sport.

• •Trap Range – Active league play and open game days. The club fields multiple teams in the Greater Lowell Trap League with consistent competitive results.
• •Action Bays – Steel Challenge and USPSA/IDPA competition shooting
• •Indoor & Outdoor Pistol/Rifle – Precision Pistol events and full rifle facilities
• •Archery Range – Dedicated archery with procedures and scheduling
• •Sporting Clays – Shotgun-focused clay target shooting

WSC runs regular events open to members and non-members alike:

Their 2025 Pentathlon tested shooters across axe throwing, archery, precision pistol, precision rifle, steel challenge, and trap—with scoring based on wins, total points, and bullseyes.

Beyond open range access, WSC offers structured training including Steel Challenge Range Officer Courses and junior programs through the Junior Club. They also host youth trap through the Groton School program and maintain a robust Scout program.

The club operates on a membership model with 2026 renewal starting in January. Members get access to all ranges, vote on club governance, and can participate in league teams and organized competitions.

WSC maintains hiking trails on their grounds, runs a game preserve, hosts fishing events including a children's derby, and participates in local festivals like Westfest and Grotonfest. They're actively engaged with the Westford community beyond just shooting sports.
