Marion Road Gun Club

Marion Road Gun Club operates five separate shooting facilities at 6170 Marion Road in Macon, giving members options for rifle and pistol work:

• •200 Yard Rifle Range - Long-distance precision work
• •100 Yard Rifle Range - Dual target lines at 50 and 100 yards
• •50 Yard Pistol Range - Four target distances (7, 15, 25, 50 yards)
• •45 Yard Multi-purpose/Black Powder Range - Versatile for various cartridges
• •Two 35 Yard Pistol Bays - Deep bays with overhead covers for weather protection

No sponsorship required. Membership is not based on who you know, how you look, or what you shoot.

The club explicitly removes sponsorship barriers—fill out an application, submit to the Club Secretary, and you're in. Membership fees and requirements are posted on their website. Monthly business meetings happen the third Tuesday of each month (7 p.m.) at 141 New Street, Macon.

MRGC hosts organized matches and training sessions across shotguns, pistols, and rifles. They run NRL-22 matches and partner with the NRA and CMP. A full calendar of events is available on their site.

The club accommodates external training and live-fire instruction. There's a $300 minimum charge for single-day range use, and instructors/organizers must submit an application to club officers either by mail or at the monthly meeting. Specific range policies and prerequisites are outlined in their training use application document.

As a not-for-profit Georgia corporation, Marion Road Gun Club prohibits unauthorized commercial activity on the grounds. Any revenue-generating training or instruction requires prior written approval from the club president and agreed compensation paid in advance.
