Full description and what we offer
Muskegon Bowmen started in 1937 when a group of archers decided to formalize their sport. That same year, Michigan created its first special archery deer season. Thousands of archers have shot with the club over the past 90+ years, and today it operates as a self-maintained, self-funded 501(c)(7) non-profit club on over 50 acres in Northern Muskegon County.
The club's mission is straightforward: advance and promote archery in the honorable traditions of the sport, whether you shoot traditional longbows, recurve bows, or compounds.
They're not exaggerating about the 50+ acres. Here's what's on the property:
Outdoor Ranges: - Broadhead Course — 7 elevated shooting platforms, 28 varied terrain targets - Groomed Field Course — 14 stations with distances from 5 to 80 yards, pavilion included - Target Range — Well-maintained targets set at 15–80 yards - 3D Range — 30-target 3D course when events are scheduled
Indoor Facilities: - Main Indoor Range — 18 full lanes at 40 yards (winter leagues and open shooting) - Bow Shop Range — Separate 6-lane, 20-yard setup for equipment-focused work - Clubhouse — Modern facilities with refreshments during events
