Washtenaw Sportsman's Club operates six distinct shooting venues across their Ypsilanti facility. Whether you're into archery, rifle precision, handgun accuracy, black powder, or clay sports, the range exists here.
The club maintains outdoor archery ranges up to 65 yards plus a dedicated indoor range (35 yards max). The outdoor setup includes:
All archery leagues and matches are open to the public. Range fees vary by event.

The rifle complex has four firing areas:

Two independent firing line zones with separate alarm systems: - West line: 25-yard range - East line: 25, 50, 75, and 100-yard firing points
Permitted firearms include handguns, rim-fire rifles, and select straight-walled centerfire cartridges (.38 Special, .357 Magnum, 10mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .44 Magnum, and others). Single-shot loading required during informal practice; rapid fire permitted during competitions.

All Cast Bullet, Hi-Power, Long Range Prone, and Varminter Team rifle events are open to the public. Archery leagues and matches are public. Pistol competitions and black powder events welcome non-members.
The club focuses heavily on developing the next generation of shooters
All ranges require eye and ear protection. Range Officers (club members) supervise sanctioned events. Informal shooting follows strict cease-fire protocols with visual signals:
A Range Officer will not typically be present during informal firing. Members are responsible for courteous but firm enforcement of rules for guests and fellow members.
Washtenaw Sportsman's Club, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Check their website calendar for range hours, which vary seasonally. On the last Wednesday of each month during Daylight Saving Time, the Rifle House and Bench Rest areas close at 10:00 AM (1:00 PM other Wednesdays) for long-range practice.
