Full description and what we offer
Founded in 1907, Northwestern Gun Club is the longest-running gun club in Minnesota. Over 115 years of preserving the shooting sports while bringing in the next generation of competitive and recreational shooters.
NWGC hosts multiple competitive shooting disciplines every month:
| Range Type | Details |
|---|---|
| Pistol Berms | 4 separate areas, one with 270-degree fire |
| Rifle Range | Up to 530 yards - used for PCSL, Gas Gun, High Power |
| Plinker's Range | 100 yards, covered for weather, zeroing and testing |
| Indoor Range | Pistol calibers only, no magnums - IDPA matches |
| Shotgun Range | Two trap houses with spring/fall warming shack |
Public shooting events are open to anyone—no NWGC membership required. Many matches don't require USPSA or IDPA membership either. Pre-register through Practiscore when available.
Club meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at the Cast Iron Restaurant near Pike Lake. Full club membership is invitation-only (requires sponsorship from an existing member). Member applications are on a wait list.
