Rambling River Guns

Rambling River Guns Co. started in 2022 as a home-based FFL called BP Custom Firearms, handling dealer-to-dealer transfers and online sales. After customers kept asking for local access to firearms, training, and gunsmithing, the owners partnered with Sure Shot Training founder Tony Ersfeld in June 2023 and opened a brick-and-mortar location at 314 Oak St. in downtown Farmington by July 2023.

Pistols in inventory include: - Sig Sauer P365 (.380 and 9mm) - Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus 9mm - Springfield Hellcat 9mm - Glock 17 Gen 5 - IWI Masada 4.25" 9mm - Custom builds (10.5" AR-V7 9mm, Geissele Hybrid AR pistols)

Rifles and carbines: - Custom builds (18" .223 Wylde DMR, .308 AR-10, 5.56 AR platforms) - Ruger 10/22 50th Anniversary - Aero Precision M4E1 6.5 Grendel - Hi-Point 9mm and 10mm carbines - Savage MK II and Mossberg .22LR options

Shotguns ranging from: - Classic pump guns (J.C. Higgins, Remington, Springfield) - Modern semi-autos (CZ 712 G3) - Winchester SXP Trap models - Bullpup options (G-Force GFY1)

They handle everything from basic cleaning to serious barrel work:

• •Standard maintenance: Field stripping, cleaning, reliability work ($60-$125)
• •Sight work: Installation of night sights, dovetail adjustments, bore sighting ($25-$85)
• •Barrel services: Headspace checks, muzzle brake installation, thread-on or weld-on bolt handle work ($135-$275)
• •1911 specialties: Ramped barrel fitting, bushing fitting, hammer and safety installation ($90-$180)
• •Stock refinishing: Lacquer, urethane, hand-rubbed oil, checkering work ($150-$250+)
• •Revolver work: Re-barreling, crane lock installation ($80-$100+)
• •Custom touches: Grip stippling, laser engraving, specialty semi-auto rifle tuning

• •Hourly labor rates: $85/hour for re-assembly and reliability work.

AR/AK rifles: - Solid color (upper/lower/handguard): $235 - Battleworn finishes: $285 - Pattern/theme custom work: $375

Handguns: - Solid color slide/frame/barrel: $195 - Battleworn: $235 - Pattern/theme: $300

Each finish option includes battleworn add-ons for an additional $15-$40.

• •Lifetime option: $400 one-time for unlimited EFT's and passport photos

• •NFA transfers: $100 for ATF Form 1 or Form 4 (free if you buy the NFA item from them)

They partner with National Gun Trusts to help customers set up gun trusts for NFA items. You'll need to register for an eForms account, and if filing as a trust, you'll need form 5320.23 and a notarized trust document.
