Rapids Archery Club actively promotes archery as a family sport in Andover, Minnesota. What started decades ago has grown into a comprehensive archery community with indoor and outdoor facilities, seasonal competitions, and instruction for ages 8 to 100.
The club maintains six total ranges — one indoor and five outdoor:
Indoor Range - 24 shooting stations, all at 20 yards - Handicap accessible - Bow racks, tables, chairs, vending machines, meeting room, restrooms - Food available during club-sponsored shoots - Open year-round for practice and seasonal leagues
Outdoor Ranges - Practice Range: 22 targets, 10–80 yards with stations at 50, 60, and 70 meters - Loop A: 14 field targets in an easy walking loop, 10–80 yards (handicap accessible) - Loop B: 28 field targets, 10–80 yards (hilly terrain) - Loop C: 14 field targets, 10–80 yards (hilly terrain) - Broadhead & Crossbow Range: 5 targets, 10–40 yards with elevated platform (only range where broadheads and crossbows are permitted)
Range Access - FREE for club members - $5 for non-members - All distances marked with bow racks provided - Outdoor practice range typically open sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset
Intro to Archery Classes Run twice yearly (summer and winter sessions). Six-week courses teach fundamentals of proper shooting form. - Ages 8 and up (families welcome) - No experience required - All equipment provided or bring your own - Knowledgeable instructors - Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and homeschool students encouraged

Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Youth program for ages 7–20 using USA Archery's National Training System. Learn competitive techniques, develop consistent form, and connect with other young archers. More info at rapidsarcheryjoad.org.

Recurring 3D shoots and seasonal competitions:
Open to the public for practice and events. Monthly club meetings on the second Monday of each month at 7 PM. Volunteer opportunities available year-round in both indoor and outdoor settings — choose specific events or ongoing roles based on effort level you can commit.
