Stewartville Sportsman's Club operates as a non-profit focused on wildlife and habitat conservation. Beyond trap shooting, they're deeply woven into the community through fundraisers, youth mentorship, and habitat restoration.
Public access: - When: Wednesdays, 7:00 PM (May through September) - Cost: $5 per round of 25 targets, or 10-punch card for $50 - Ammo: 12 and 20 gauge shells available on-site - Setup: Standard trap and 5-Stand available for practice during youth team seasons
No membership required to shoot—walk-ins welcome.
Pheasants & Habitat Unlimited (PHU) > Minnesota's first pheasant conservation group, now operating under SSC
Additional Wildlife Support: - Ducks Unlimited fundraiser (4th Friday in April) - Annual wild game feed (3rd Saturday in March) - Veteran goose hunts and special youth challenge turkey hunts for handicapped youth
DNR-certified firearms safety classes offered spring season. Youth ages 11-17 can take classroom training with mandatory field day component. Check Minnesota DNR website for current class schedules.
Youth & Community Support: - Stewartville Tigers Trap Team (spring/fall seasons) - Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts - 4-H Shooting Sports - Local food banks and scholarship awards
Hall available for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and large gatherings. Kitchen, dance floor, chairs, tables, and full bar on-site. Trap range rental available for additional fees.
