The Babbitt Conservation Club operates as a grassroots organization centered around shooting, hunting, and environmental stewardship in the Babbitt area of Minnesota. The club maintains an active rifle range facility and coordinates regular shooting activities for the community.
Regular Activities: - Monthly club meetings (second Tuesday of each month, April through October at 7:00 p.m. at the rifle range) - Organized trap shooting on Tuesday nights from June through September, starting at 5:00 p.m. - Youth Firearms Training classes—a key community initiative that introduces younger shooters to safe firearms handling
Range Maintenance & Facilities: The club maintains shooting berms on the property. In spring 2012, the Babbitt Fire Department conducted a training session and controlled burn at the range to clear dead grass from the berms, keeping the facility in good condition for shooting activities.
Beyond shooting sports, the club actively supports conservation causes. They maintain partnerships and affiliations with major conservation organizations including:
