Founded in 1954, Prairie Bowmen has been Lincoln's go-to archery club for seven decades. They operate from their location at 1432 N. Cotner Blvd in East Central Lincoln, hosting archers of all ages and experience levels.
24/7 indoor range access – The main draw for most members. The facility includes: - Indoor shooting lanes - Locker rentals ($50/year or $30 for 6 months) - Paper targets (50 cents each) - Climate control - Guest passes available ($10 per guest visit)
Target League – Mondays at 7:30 p.m., $25 per 5-week session (membership not required)
3D League – Thursdays at 7 p.m., January through March. $10 for members, $15 for non-members per shoot
Tournaments & Events – Winter and summer leagues, annual Jamboree, annual Banquet, and regional competitions that draw archers from across the region.
JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) – USA Archery's official youth program run by National Training System certified instructors. Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with four annual sessions (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December). Ages 8+. Equipment provided, or use your own. Students can earn USA Archery achievement awards.
Advanced JOAD – Mondays at 6 p.m. for archers who've completed basics. Includes tournament essentials, mental management, and bow tuning/setup.
Prairie Bowmen is affiliated with NFAA, FITA, and USA Archery, bringing regional and national competition opportunities throughout the year.
After 20 years of continuous membership in good standing, you become a life member.
