For most students, the progression looks like: 1. Start with NRA Basic Pistol or Shotgun (entry-level safety and fundamentals) 2. Take US2A Basic Pistol 2 or Defensive Shotgun (build marksmanship and decision-making) 3. Progress to US2A Concealed Carry Handgun or Tactical courses (advanced techniques and defensive scenarios) 4. Optional: Private lessons to refine specific skills or advance to instructor certification
For specialized needs like emergency medical response, the TC4HRS Trauma Care course teaches expedient emergency care basics without requiring prior medical training.
