Full description and what we offer
Wild Captives is a modern scouting movement teaching archery and survival skills to people tired of being spectators in their own lives. Located in Industry City in Brooklyn, they run beginner classes, private team events, and sell their own line of archery gear and apparel.
Their beginner archery class takes you from zero experience to landing clean, confident shots. Classes cover form, aim, safety, and technique with expert coaching. You get access to their custom gear and what they call the most iconic archery range in NYC — a 15-lane setup inside an 8,000 sq ft warehouse.
If you're booking a group, Wild Captives turns their entire warehouse into your private playground. No strangers, no forced icebreakers, no trust falls. Just bows, arrows, and 2+ hours of actual team building.
Their game formats include Knockout tournaments, Zombie Apocalypse survival rounds, blindfolded archery chaos, and Manifestation Balloon Pop for cathartic group energy. Add-ons: local food & drink catering, Wild Captives swag bags, pro photographer, custom game designs.
"The Wild Captives team is incredible. This is such a great space with an awesome mission and concept. Perfect for a group event." — Tim K., Google Reviews

Wild Captives teaches that your body knows more than your phone does. Their focus: reconnecting urban people to tactile survival skills — archery, forging, navigation, firecraft, knot-tying — that make you feel human and capable again.
Three pillars:
Founded by queer female CEO Kendall Tichner, Wild Captives has been featured in Today Show ("Archer aims to make the sport accessible to LGBTQ+ community"), ABC News, NBC News, Time Out New York, Brooklyn Magazine, Whalebone, and Forbes Books. They're described as the nation's first woman-owned archery range, piercing archery stereotypes the Brooklyn way.
No experience required. Safety briefing and technique breakdown included in every class. Their certified instructors teach fundamentals, not just archery history.
