Full description and what we offer
Bo's Gun Shop operates from 2305 Main Street Extension in Elizabeth City, NC—a home-based gunsmith shop specializing in precision work that larger dealers won't touch. The owner is certified by the American Gunsmithing Institute as a Master Gunsmith and has been working on firearms since the late 1970s.
$40,000+ in specialized tools. Bo has invested heavily in equipment that separates professional gunsmiths from hobbyists: - A mill and lathe for custom parts and modifications - Ultrasonic cleaning equipment - Full refinishing capability (hot bluing, cold bluing, Cerakote, Parkerizing, nickel plating, hard chrome) - Barrel threading equipment for suppressors, flash hiders, and muzzle brakes
Retired, working part-time at his pace. Bo isn't rushing jobs or juggling a busy retail floor. He takes appointments only and works when he's up to it—but customers consistently report faster turnaround than "real gunsmiths" who are swamped.

Leaving town on Main Street Extension, cross the railroad tracks and go about 1.5 miles. Bo's place is the first house on the left past the Ruritan's Club. Follow the sidewalk to the left of the garage door to access the gun shop entrance at the back.
Bo is a retired gunsmith who works because he loves it and loves meeting people. He's not trying to maximize turnover or stock a megastore. He has the tools, the knowledge, and the patience to do work right. If you need a trigger job that won't fail on a hunting trip, a Cowboy Action gun dialed in perfectly, or a firearm restored to working order, this is the guy. Cash only, appointment required, and he'll tell you straight if your firearm needs more work than it's worth.
