Silver Dollar Sportsmen's Club

Silver Dollar Sportsmen's Club operates a comprehensive facility at 5040 Secrest Road in Wooster, Ohio, with four distinct shooting disciplines available to members and the public.

• •Pistol Range - Open 8:30 AM to 1 hour before sunset, 7 days a week. Supervised with range safety protocols.
• •Trap Field - For clay target shooting with strict ammunition and firearm requirements
• •5 Stand Pyramid - Open during scheduled public trap shoots listed on the club calendar
• •Archery Range - Dedicated archery facilities for members

Entry Requirements: - Must be 18+ years old - Current member sponsor required (exceptions considered by board) - $300 initiation fee plus annual dues - First-year probationary period (no voting rights) - Regular members can vote and hold office - Family membership available (spouse and children under 18, or up to 23 if in school/military)

To Join: 1. Print and complete membership application and waiver 2. Get sponsorship from current member 3. Mail completed forms with $300 check to membership secretary 4. Attend next club meeting for board presentation and membership vote

Board may approve exceptions to attendance requirement with prior contact

The club enforces strict safety protocols across all ranges:

Pistol Range Rules: - Eye and ear protection mandatory (even for non-shooters) - Maximum 20 rounds loaded at a time - .45 caliber maximum for pistols - No quick draw, armor piercing, tracer, or incendiary ammunition - No fully automatic firearms - Shotguns with slugs only at 25-50 yards (no shot permitted) - Black powder firearms allowed with specific safety procedures

Trap Field Requirements: - #9, #8, or #7½ shot only - Maximum 3-dram equivalent powder - One round per gun at any time - All firearms unloaded and open except when on station - No horseplay or interference with shooters - No alcohol on grounds

Four Fundamental Safety Rules (Applied Everywhere): 1. Treat every firearm as loaded 2. Never point at anything you don't want to destroy 3. Keep finger off trigger and outside trigger guard until ready to fire 4. Always know your backstop
