If you buy a firearm online or out-of-state, Elite Firearms processes the transfer and background check. Here's how it works:
1. Ship from another FFL to Elite Firearms at 2620 Centennial Rd Unit L, Toledo, OH 43617 2. Transfer fees: $40 per firearm, $100 per NFA item 3. Bring valid government-issued photo ID with correct address 4. Complete ATF Form 4473 in person for background check 5. Pick up within 30 days or the firearm becomes abandoned property
You must be the person named on the transfer paperwork. If you're purchasing on behalf of someone else, that person must be the one to complete the ATF Form 4473.
What transfers require: - Full name and contact information on the firearm shipment - Serialized firearm (required) - Shipped from valid FFL dealer - Receiver by original purchaser only
Elite Firearms handles suppressors and NFA items (like short-barreled rifles) through their Silencer Shop partnership. You can:

- •Buy in-store
- •Use their Silencer Shop partner link (automatically routes to Elite Firearms)
After your NFA purchase, they'll email instructions. Ohio residents complete the process locally. Out-of-state buyers have the item shipped to their FFL/SOT dealer.
Reminder: NFA items must be picked up within 30 days of tax stamp approval or the stamp cancels and the item becomes property of Elite Firearms.
