Engage Virtual Range opened in Medina as the first simulated live-fire facility of its kind. Co-founders Cal Davis (25-year firefighter, PA, NRA instructor) and Chad Wilson (tech entrepreneur) built this because traditional gun ranges don't work for everyone—they're loud, expensive per shot, and intimidating for beginners.
Virtual shooting eliminates ammo costs, hearing protection hassles, and the pressure of a crowded range. Same skills, better environment.
You pick up a rifle platform (including new AR models), aim at screens showing real-world scenarios, and shoot. The system tracks everything—accuracy, speed, consistency. It feels like live fire. No cartridges go downrange.
- •What makes this different from a video game: Professional instructors run the show. They design custom scenarios for your group. They teach fundamentals. They're there to help you improve, not just rack up points.
- •Classes and Training — Professional instructors lead sessions for all experience levels, from "I've never held a gun" to serious marksmen wanting to refine technique
- •Group Outings — Corporate team building, client entertainment, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette events
- •Competitions — League play and head-to-head matchups. Featured title: Warehouse Warfare (year's anticipated virtual shooting title)
- •Tactical Training — Real-world scenario drills and exercises
- •Team Building Events — Custom events with catering, AV, signage, competition prizes
- •Private Events — $200 for up to 5 VIP guests (90 minutes, instructor-led, includes snacks)

Engage Virtual Range is expanding beyond Northeast Ohio and actively recruiting Brand Ambassadors. Ambassadors earn loyalty points (15,000 = $100 cash) by referring friends, attending local events, and sharing on social media.
The company also offers franchise opportunities and enterprise software solutions for other range operators wanting to add virtual platforms to their business.
"Our goal is to offer a facility that caters to every experience level." — Co-founder Cal Davis
Traditional range time is expensive ($1-2 per shot), requires drive time, involves hearing protection headaches, and puts pressure on beginners. This removes those barriers. You can train dry fire concepts, practice under stress in realistic scenarios, compete with friends, and build confidence without the cost or logistics.
