Greene County Fish & Game Association started as a merger of separate hunting and shooting groups in the early 1900s and has grown into a sprawling 160-acre facility serving over 1,300 member families. Located in Xenia off Union Road on what was once the Maxey farm, they've been at this location since 1954.
Important: This is a private club, not a government agency—despite the name. They have partnerships with local and state agencies but operate independently.
Shooting Sports - Multiple ranges covering trap, skeet, steel challenge, sporting clays, pistol (including NDR and NRA sanctioned), rimfire rifle, long-range precision, and black powder.
Archery - Dedicated archery facilities and leagues.
Education - Hunter education, trapper education, and scholastic trapshooting programs.
Youth Programs - Rooster Run, Youth Day, Coonskin Cap Brigade, and other supervised activities for area youth.
Fishing - Members-only fishing access.
Special Events - Twelve Gun Giveaway, Card Shoot, and seasonal competitions.
Facility Rentals - Clubhouse, kitchen, and outdoor shelters available for private events.
Members get full access to hunting, fishing, camping, and casual range use. Non-members can: - Participate in organized shooting and archery leagues (with fee) - Attend select public events - Bring youth to supervised activities - Rent facilities for events
Casual range access is restricted to members only.
"While we are a welcoming group, we do not allow Non-members to hunt, fish (except youth during tournaments), camp, or casual use of the firearm or archery ranges."
Winter Policy - If Greene County hits Level 1 snow emergency status at 3:00 pm, scheduled board and membership meetings are postponed to the same day/time the following week. Use common sense for other activities—contact the event chairman to confirm status.
