BKS Sportsmen's Club operates rifle, pistol, trap, and archery ranges on 92411 Abbott Rd near Astoria, OR. The setup lets you work on multiple disciplines at the same location—whether that's precision rifle at 100 yards, trap shooting doubles, or trail archery.
The rifle range runs 100 yards. Daily range fee is $3 per shooter. The club keeps it maintained and asks shooters to pick up brass so the next person doesn't inherit a mess.
Special low-light and no-light pistol/rifle shoots happen seasonally (like the January 17 event running 2-8pm). These give you real-world handgun and rifle scenarios beyond daytime static shooting.
Two trap houses handle singles, doubles, and continental targets. The club runs:
Get tokens for $4.00 a game, or pay $2.00 daily fee with first game shot.
The club built a trail range nicknamed "Jurrasic Park"—8 targets set up randomly through wilderness terrain. More targets are being added. It's competitive and challenging.
New members fill out membership and liability forms, then schedule a safety orientation. Current members renew annually by August 30 or face a $10 gate card reactivation fee. Members can bring spouses, children under 18, and grandchildren under 18. Other guests need case-by-case approval from club officers.
Club Rules: No exploding targets. No armor-piercing ammunition.
