TNT Shooting Grounds

TNT Shooting Grounds has been running hunts since 1980 on 400 acres of maintained upland bird habitat near Smock, PA. The property sits in the rolling hills about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, 40 minutes from Washington, and 25 minutes from Morgantown—easily accessible from the entire Tri-State area.

The operation specializes in pheasant and chukar hunts on continuously maintained habitat stocked with birds bred for wild performance. Their pheasants are medium-sized, aggressive flyers well-adapted to open terrain. Chukar provide a different challenge with different flight patterns.

Standard Hunt Pricing:

Extra birds run $23 each for pheasant, $14 for chukar.

Hunting Schedule: - Morning hunts: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM - Afternoon hunts: 1:00 PM–4:30 PM - Monday–Saturday (closed Sunday, except clays) - Reservations required; 50% deposit holds your date

Point values: Chukar = 2pts, Pheasant = 3pts, Guide & Dog = 10pts. Membership requires minimum 3 visits per season.

They also run continental shoots—a driven pheasant experience where 10–100+ shooters are stationed around the base of a grassy hill as birds fly overhead in varied angles. Minimum 10 shooters required.

Add extra pheasants at $17 each or 100 rounds of sporting clays for $40 per shooter.

The 55-station sporting clays course simulates upland hunting, waterfowl, and rabbit scenarios using clay targets in five different sizes. Designed as a hunting training tool, it lets shooters practice under actual field conditions with varied target velocities and actions.

A 30-target 3D archery course operates April through September, 8 AM to dark, 7 days a week. Designed for serious bow hunters preparing for the season, using realistic 3D targets and similar conditions to actual hunting situations.

Archery Rates: - $10 per person flat rate (Monday–Sunday) - Children 12 & under shoot free - IBO World Qualifier status with Sunday prize shoots (30 scorecard minimum) - Reservations appreciated but not required
