Kones Korner - Gun and C-Store in Castlewood, SD

Kones Korner started as a rural gas station and general store in the 1920s. In 1966, owner Curt purchased several guns at an auction sale and displayed them in an old candy case. They sold immediately—and that single decision launched a 50+ year legacy.

Today, Curt's son Vic Carter runs the operation. The gas pumps and snacks are still there for travelers, but the real draw is the 2,500 firearms in inventory plus a full line of hunting gear, accessories, and outdoor equipment.
