Leading Edge Archery in Boerne operates an 8,000 sq ft instruction and practice facility—the largest in the San Antonio area. The shop is built around a serious commitment to both recreational archers and hunters preparing for real hunts.

• •Indoor Range: 17 USAA regulation 20-yard lanes with 6 center lanes that extend to 50 yards. The outdoor range goes out to 50 meters for sight tape tuning and distance work.

• •Virtual Simulator: Test your hunting equipment on live-action game scenarios. Available for 1-3 players ($40/hour) or groups of 4 ($120/hour). This isn't arcade stuff—it's actual hunting preparation.

All coaches are USA Archery certified. They specialize in two things:

1. Hunter Preparation - Building you from zero to confident in the field, with simulator-based virtual hunts so you're ready before opening day 2. Competitive Training - Support for 3D, indoor, and tournament disciplines across all skill levels

First-time customers take a required 30-minute rules and etiquette session, then move into structured lessons:

3,000 sq ft retail space stocked with hunting, competition, and outdoor equipment. No cheap big-box inventory here—this is dialed-in gear that works.

• •Custom Arrow Builds: The shop specializes in custom arrows for personality and precision tuning. Special focus on women, youth, and seniors who need effective setups at lower draw weights. They use Gas and Winner's Choice bowstrings—proven brands on the competition circuit.

• •Technical Services: Expert technicians handle bow tuning, arrow builds, and equipment prep. This is detail work done by people who actually hunt and compete.

• •Leading Edge Academy runs semester-style classes for youth from beginner to intermediate levels. Kids showing real commitment can earn a spot on the LEA Lonestars competitive team—represented in teal and gray at events nationwide.

• •Staff Credentials Matter: Co-owner Kyna Stephens is a professional archer with multiple state championships and a 2024 Black Eagle Darton Pro/Am podium finish. She's also harvested over 100 animals with bow, including a top-5 SCI archery sheep. Assistant manager Cam Close brings 10+ years of bowhunting experience and 6+ years as a bow technician at respected Colorado shops. Marina Jorgenson is a USA Archery Level 2 coach and 3D competitor.

Extra targets are $1 each. Everyone checks in and signs a digital waiver to use the range.
