Temple Gun Club is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization dedicated to Second Amendment protection and competitive shooting sports. Located at 3924 FM 438 Loop Road in Temple, Texas, the club maintains a comprehensive shooting facility available to members year-round.
The range layout supports multiple shooting disciplines simultaneously:

All matches require pre-registration through their PractiScore calendar. Some events may have minimum participant requirements.

Applications accepted 5:45-6:00pm only. Mandatory 1-hour Range & Safety Orientation (6:00-7pm) required before approval.
Members wishing to shoot from long-range firing lines must complete certification:
1. Ballistics discussion covering trajectory, ballistic coefficients, and velocity effects 2. 100-yard zero check with rifle 3. 200-yard test - Hit IPSC silhouette 3 of 10 times 4. 300-yard test - Hit IPSC silhouette 3 of 10 times 5. 500-yard test - Hit IPSC silhouette 3 of 10 times
Members with current marksman-level qualification from organized matches can forward proof to the membership director for immediate annotation. No pistol-caliber carbines permitted from 300/500yd lines.
Current Restrictions: - SIG Sauer P320 and variants (M17, M18) prohibited effective August 5, 2025 - No vehicles in tactical bays - No shooting from tactical bay shelters - Shotgun patterning only permitted in tactical bays - 180-degree range fan authorized with targets arranged toward berms
Member Responsibilities: - Police brass and targets when finished - Raise/lower flags to indicate line usage - Use barricades to close roads when shooting distant lines - Share firing lines courteously - no extended hogging - Leave range in the condition you'd like to find it
Club meetings held first Monday of each month at:
Harris Community Center 401 N Alexander Street Belton, TX
Meetings run 6:00-7:00pm (Safety Orientation) followed by General Membership meeting. This is where membership applications are submitted and processed.
The club operates an online store/marketplace for members to buy/sell ammunition, gear, and services. Members can also apply to become contributors sharing knowledge and expertise with the community.
