The Alexandria Chapter of the Izaak Walton League operates a comprehensive outdoor recreation facility 9 miles west of I-95 on Route 610 in Stafford. The organization's mission centers on defending soil, woods, water, air, and wildlife through education and conservation of America's hunting, fishing, camping, and shooting heritage.
The facility includes multiple dedicated shooting areas:
Members have daylight access (9 AM to sunset) to all ranges. Empty Chamber Indicators (ECIs) are required and provided at no cost.
Hunting is permitted on the property during Virginia state hunting seasons for members with current licenses. A mandatory Hunter Safety Brief is required annually.
Two stocked ponds provide fishing opportunities for members and their guests. Guests must carry valid Virginia fishing licenses (except those under 16). The facility includes picnic areas and a playground.
Members can bring guests to designated shoot events:

Guest shoots at rifle/pistol ranges occur in two half-day sessions: 9 AM-12 PM and 12:30-3:30 PM. Chapter Range Safety Officers supervise all guest activities.

The chapter sponsors Scouts BSA Troop 142G, Cub Scout Pack 142, and Girl Scout Troop 44. Youth members participate in service projects, conservation education, and shotgun team training.
The facility offers NRA courses and VA Department of Wildlife Resources hunting education classes. All firearms training is restricted to U.S. citizens per ITAR regulations.
New members must be sponsored by a current member and approved by ballot at the monthly meeting (held the third Sunday at 2 PM). Membership requires:
Family members of members can access facilities when accompanied by the member. Immediate family (spouse, dependents under 18, grandchildren under 18) do not pay additional guest fees.
Ranges are open 9 AM-sunset for members. Display your membership card at all times. No 50 BMG or automatic weapons allowed.
