Seattle Police Athletic Association

The Seattle Police Athletic Association operates a full shooting facility in Tukwila, south of Seattle. SPAA functions as a private club offering access to firearm ranges, an archery range, and a Pro Shop stocked with ammunition and supplies.

The facility includes rifle and pistol ranges. The rifle range features 200-yard target access (subject to seasonal conditions), making it suitable for longer-distance work. Standard pistol range operations are available year-round.

SPAA hosts regular .22 pistol bullseye competitions under the banner of "The Laidback League." These matches run on Wednesday nights throughout spring and fall seasons:

• •Registration: $40 per session, limited to 35 competitors
• •Age requirement: 16 years or older
• •Schedule: Gate opens at 5:30 PM, relays start at 5:45 PM
• •Awards: Individual cash prizes for aggregate match winners, weekly high individual scores, and 1st-3rd place finishers in each class

SPAA administers Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) qualification days multiple times per year. These provide off-duty and retired law enforcement the ability to maintain their LEOSA status with regular firearms qualifications.

The on-site Pro Shop carries ammunition and shooting supplies. During high-demand periods, the shop implements purchase limits to ensure fair access across all members.

A dedicated archery range is available for members. The range undergoes periodic renovations and maintenance to support the archery community.

The club is open to interested shooters who join as members. Access to ranges, competitions, and the Pro Shop requires active membership status.
