TGX LLC is a custom gunsmithing shop in Calhan specializing in high-end Cerakote finishing, laser engraving, and custom builds. Started in October 2024 by two friends—Garrett and Justin—they've built a reputation for turning standard firearms into head-turning, personalized pieces.
Cerakote Finishing is their bread and butter. They apply polymer-ceramic composite coatings that improve abrasion resistance, corrosion protection, and durability while adding custom aesthetics. They handle:
- •Handguns (slides, frames, barrels, small parts)
- •AR-15s and AR pistols (receivers, uppers, lowers, handguards, BCGs)
- •Bolt-action rifles (receivers, barrels, stocks, bolts, scopes)
- •Shotguns (receivers, barrels, stocks, forends)
Custom patterns like multi-cam and Kryptek are available—each additional color beyond the base coat runs $65.

Clean your firearm before drop-off. Dirty guns destroy their degreasing acetone—if they have to replace it, that's a $100 charge. They're not trying to be difficult; they just can't swap 10 gallons of acetone per project.
