Full description and what we offer
De Pere Sportsmen's Club operates on 3,623 Club Drive in De Pere, Wisconsin—a 70-year-old institution built and maintained entirely by volunteers. With nearly 500 active members, this is where Brown County shooters come to compete, learn, and improve.
The club's flagship facility is a 30-station 3D archery course described as one of the finest in Wisconsin. The range winds through the club's grounds featuring mature hardwoods and wildflowers, offering challenging shots for both beginners and experienced archers. The course is open to members and non-members year-round (weather permitting), though it closes seasonally in winter.
The club hosts organized leagues across multiple shooting sports:
| League | Schedule | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Trap | Monday & Thursday nights, year-round | Summer, fall, and winter leagues. Open shooting 6:30-9:00 PM on league nights. Shells available for purchase. |
| Pistol | Tuesday nights, Sept-May (indoor) | Both competitive league and open shooting. Help available for beginners. |
| Action Pistol | Every other Tuesday (outdoor) | IDPA rules format. Timed courses evaluating accuracy and speed. |
| Junior Rifle | Year-round program | Ages 11-20. Safety training, marksmanship instruction, competitive opportunities state and nationwide. |
| 4H Shooting Sports | Seasonal programs | Air rifle instruction for youth focusing on safe handling and fundamentals. |
ALL FIREARMS MUST BE IN CASES - No exceptions. Uncased firearms will be turned away.
The club facilitates Wisconsin DNR Hunter Education courses through the DNR Go Wild website. Fall classes fill quickly—register early through the state website by searching course type "HUNTER" and county "BROWN."
"Volunteers are at the heart of the success of all events. The Club promotes safe shooting sports, and this cannot happen without the dedication of members."
The club has nearly 500 members and actively recruits volunteers for: - Event operation and staffing - Facility maintenance days - Sight-In Day assistance - Fundraiser support
Membership dues support operations, with events and fundraisers bridging additional operational costs. Volunteer hours (typically 10) can offset next year's membership dues.
