Own TCI Training?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
TCI Training (Trident Consulting, Inc.) teaches pistol, rifle, and defensive handgun courses to shooters at every stage—from complete beginners who've never held a pistol to experienced shooters refining advanced tactical skills.
If you're starting from zero, Basic Pistol covers firearm safety, different pistol types, ammunition selection, cleaning, and safe storage. The course emphasizes shooting fundamentals: stance, breath control, sight picture, sight alignment, one- and two-handed techniques, trigger control, and follow-through.
First Steps Pistol customizes instruction around a firearm you already own. You'll start with .22LR pistols to build confidence, then transition to your own gun with the same fundamental focus.
Basic Rifle follows the same safety-first approach for long guns, teaching standing, kneeling, prone, and sitting positions plus bench rest techniques.
First Steps Rifle is the personalized rifle equivalent—instruction tailored to your specific firearm.
For students without firearms, TCI offers a "test drive" program where you can try different firearms to help make your purchase decision.
Practical Pistol I builds on basics with proper gun handling, range commands, grip, stances, and sighting techniques on an unloaded range (cold range protocol).
NRA Personal Protection in the Home covers defensive handgun skills, firearms and the law, understanding deadly force, home safety strategies, and response to violent confrontation.
Personal Protection Outside the Home teaches advanced concealed carry and defensive shooting techniques.
Practical Pistol II takes experienced shooters to the next level: one-handed and weak-handed shooting, tactical reloads, malfunction drills, barricade shooting, and speed shooting. The emphasis is balancing accuracy with speed.
Sport Utility Rifle covers shooting positions, speed shooting, standard and non-standard drills, speed and tactical reloads, malfunction clearing, rifle zero, firearm transitions, use of cover, and equipment assessment.
Action Pistol Clinic rounds out the roster for shooters looking to refine dynamic techniques.
Additional courses include Range Safety Officer Training, Instructor Candidate Training, and NRA Metallic Cartridge Reloading.
Wisconsin Concealed Carry Permit: Several TCI courses meet the training requirements for Wisconsin CCW permits.
TCI manufactures remanufactured target ammunition at competitive prices. Drop off empty brass cases (200-round minimum) and they'll clean, polish, and reload them.
