Cheyenne Rifle & Pistol Club

The Cheyenne Rifle & Pistol Club operates as a non-profit 501(c)(7) corporation dedicated to shooting sports, firearms training, and hunter education. Located at 2621 East 7th St., Cheyenne, WY, the club welcomes both members and the general public to participate in structured training programs, qualification courses, and open shooting hours.

CRPC offers multiple NRA Marksmanship Qualification Programs that emphasize "practice with a purpose"—you compete against yourself and the target, not other shooters:

• •Winchester Pistol Program (Sundays, 11am-1pm)
• •Fall through late winter schedule
• •.22 caliber (rimfire) recommended for beginners
• •Minimum age 18; requires Basic Pistol certification, valid CCW, or NRA Instructor status
• •Shot from 15-foot mark
• •Pricing: $20-$90 depending on membership and certification status
• •CRPC members with Basic Pistol + NRA membership: $20
• •Non-members without certification: $90

• •Conventional Bullseye Pistol Program (Mondays, 9am & 6pm)
• •Spring and fall, 10-week sessions
• •.22 rimfire semi-automatic pistols only
• •Shot indoors at 50 feet with B-2 and B-3 targets
• •Covers slow fire (10 minutes), timed fire (20 seconds per string), and rapid fire (10 seconds per string)
• •No advance registration required; $30 per session
• •Supervised by NRA Certified Pistol Instructors and Range Safety Officers

• •Rimfire Rifle Program (Sundays, 11am-1pm)
• •.22 Long Rifle caliber only
• •Rifles must weigh 8.5 lbs or less including sights and slings
• •Shot from 50-foot mark with NRA Official Small Bore targets
• •Pricing scales from $20 (CRPC members with certifications) to $90 (non-members)

This 2-day instructor-led course (Saturday-Sunday, 8am-5pm with lunch break) covers: - Safe gun handling and handgun mechanics (revolver vs. semi-automatic) - Proper aiming, shooting positions, and marksmanship techniques - Handgun selection, maintenance, cleaning, and storage - Legal aspects of self-defense and shoot/don't shoot scenarios - Shooting qualification: approximately 150-200 rounds fired

Eligibility & Cost: - Satisfies concealed carry permit requirements in Wyoming, Colorado, and many other states - Designed for both new and experienced shooters - One-to-one instructor-to-student ratio on the range - $75 for CRPC members, $100 for non-members, $50 for educators - Club provides loaner firearms available upon request - No .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, 5.7×28, .357 Sig, or 17HMR ammunition allowed

Held the last weekend in January at the indoor range. The 2025 show runs: - Saturday, January 31: 8am-5pm - Sunday, February 1: 9am-3pm

Admission fees support the Junior's Program. Concessions operated by program participants. Vendor registration and table availability available through club contact form.

Member Benefits: - Discounted rates on NRA qualification programs ($20-$50 vs. $80-$90 for non-members) - Access to monthly board meetings (first Friday, 7pm) - FFL transfer services for members - Volunteer opportunities: Junior's Program, gun show, High Power Rifle shoots, range maintenance - NRA membership helps reduce club insurance costs

• •Valid prescription eyeglasses meeting safety standards acceptable in place of additional safety glasses
• •Comfortable shoes required (standing 2+ hours)
• •Avoid v-neck or low-cut clothing (spent brass risk)
• •Winter: sweater/hoody recommended due to exhaust ventilation

CRPC's stated purposes: - Protect Second Amendment rights of individual citizens - Promote public safety, law and order, and national defense - Train law enforcement, armed forces, militia, and civilian shooters in marksmanship and safe handling - Foster competitive shooting sports at local through international levels - Promote hunter safety and hunting conservation

Board of Directors hold monthly meetings first Friday at 7pm; members encouraged to attend.
