Ben Avery Shooting Facility is one of the largest publicly operated shooting ranges in the United States, spanning 1,650 acres in north Phoenix, Arizona. Operated by the Arizona Game & Fish Department, it welcomes over 120,000 shooters annually and holds the distinction of being the first government shooting facility to earn a Five-Star rating from the National Association of Shooting Ranges.
The facility features three distinct shooting areas:
- •Rifle & Pistol Range - Full-service rifle and handgun shooting with multiple firing lines and target distances
- •Clay Target Center - Dedicated shotgun facility offering trap, skeet, and clay target shooting with instruction programs for beginners
- •Outdoor Archery Range - Target and 3D archery courses for all skill levels
Beyond the shooting ranges, Ben Avery offers:
